Hi friends! It’s been a minute since I’ve been on here- mainly because I was locked out for 2 months! Can you believe that? After endless calls with my blog host, I was finallllllly able to get back in and I’m super excited to give you a little overdue review of the Westgate Branson Lakes Resort I stayed at in November.
If you aren’t familiar with Branson, it’s an Ozark town in southeast Missouri that’s widely known as a family vacation spot. With their endless fun activities along the strip (which I’ll get into later), there’s something for everyone there.
Westgate Branson Lakes Resort
When I visited Branson in November, I had the amazing opportunity to stay at the Westgate Branson Lakes Resort. This resort literally hugs the shores of the sparkling Table Rock Lake that offers amazing lake views right outside your window. All of their villas have been recently updated, and include brand new kitchens and baths, a full washer & dryer, a dining room & living room space, and super cozy beds. I was so impressed with the quality of renovations in these villas. It felt super modern and clean and almost like you were in your own little apartment! Attached to the villa and right outside the living room is a large screened-in balcony that overlooks Table Rock Lake. It was SO amazing getting to wake up and see the fog roll off the lake while sipping coffee and eating breakfast. It was definitely very peaceful and serene.
large comfortable living room space with pull out couch and flat screen tv
updated bath with walk-in shower, two sinks, and plenty of counter space
large gourmet eat-in kitchen with full refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee pot and full-size washer and dryer

Things to do in Branson
While I highly recommend staying at the Westgate Branson Lakes Resort, I also wanted to point out a few other things to do while in town! Along 76 Country Blvd (aka the “Strip”) there is endless entertainment lined up for the whole family. There are tons of amusement park rides, shows, museums, and delicious restaurants all at your fingertips.
Shows:
Dolly Parton’s Stampede and Presley’s Country Jubilee. Both shows were exceptionally good, and I loved that they were both Christmas-themed (Branson takes Christmas VERY seriously. If you are very into Christmas, I highly recommend checking out Branson in November/December to see all the decor & lights!)
Amusement Park:
We went to Silver Dollar City and it was such a blast. I haven’t been to an amusement park in years, and I won’t lie- I was a little terrified to get back on a rollercoaster, but I’m so glad I did! Silver Dollar City, is a 61-acre amusement park that is internationally awarded. There are over 40 rides and attractions, tons of daily shows (we saw a Christmas Carol- so cute!!), and 18 award-winning restaurants (make sure to check out the Clara Belle’s Cinnamon bread– OMG so good)
Restaurants:
SugarLeaf Bakery & Cafe– this was by far my favorite meal of the trip. We randomly stumbled across it and I’m so glad we did! It’s located within the Grand Village Shops and offers breakfast, sandwiches, desserts, and the best coffee in Branson! We got the Fig & Apple Harvest salad, and a half tuna sandwich/ clam chowder- all was phenomenal.
Guy Fieri’s Kitchen + Bar– this is a great casual spot with delicious food and cocktails. It’s located in Branson Landing, an awesome lakeside mall in Branson. There’s a huge menu and the portions are generous… a great spot for both lunch and dinner!
Drafts Sports Bar & Grill– This restaurant is actually located right next to Westgate Branson Lakes sister property, Branson Woods Resort. It’s a laid-back sports bar with tons of TVs, delicious burgers, and beers on draft. I did take a look at the website and noticed that they are currently closed for renovations, but will be opening back up again in March of 2022!
Westgate Branson Woods Resort
If you want something a little more “Woodsy,” then definitely check out Westgate Lakes sister property Westgate Branson Woods Resort. We got a little tour of this resort while we were there and it’s so unique! Nestled on 145 wooded acres, each villa feels like you’re literally in a little wood cabin in the woods. It’s super cozy and the perfect “glamping” experience which features hiking trails and even a waterfall.
*a HUGE thank you to the Westgate Branson Lakes team for letting me check out the properties!
