This post is a bit overdue, but I am SO excited to share baby girl’s nursery with you all! I had so much fun creating this space, and it’s easily become my favorite room in our home. When visualizing what I wanted before she was born, I knew I wanted it to be feminine and incorporate peonies somehow as they’re my favorite flower and gorgeous of course.
The first piece I ordered was this gorgeous crib from Serena & Lily. I looked at tons of different cribs but ultimately decided on this one because I absolutely loved how intricate the detailing was and the quality is just out of this world. I wanted the crib to be against a “statement wall” so I chose this peony peel and stick wallpaper which I instantly fell in love with. I was a bit hesitant to do peel and stick wallpaper and was going to hire someone to do it for me, but ended up doing it myself and it was actually pretty easy!! If you’re intimidated by peel and stick, I promise it’s not that bad… you enter in the exact dimensions of your walls and the company (which was amazing to work with- super helpful & friendly!) will tell you exactly how many panels to order. It’s all customized and looks absolutely amazing… I am SO happy with the quality and how it turned out. I also added this wooden name sign and it’s just the cutest! There are different sizes, colors, and fonts you can choose from and is such a great statement piece for above the crib (the owner who creates them, Alisha is also a mommy and just the sweetest!)
I was going to go with a pricey dresser from Pottery Barn Kids but ended up finding this IKEA one (mine is the white- not white stain) that looks almost identical but for a fraction of the price. I knew I wanted to switch out the knobs with gold bows, so it was kind of pointless to spend the extra $500 to change it anyway. This dresser fits so much and is the perfect height for adding a changing table to the top of it. I got this changing table topper, and it fits the space perfectly. Another thing I was super excited about, is this pink and gold mirror. I was thinking about going with a gold round mirror but ended up finding this one, which I think is so unique and gorgeous. It’s also the perfect size for hanging above the changing table since I wanted to be able to add some shelves for extra space/decor. Everything else is linked below!
