Lace, Lace, Lace! Lace bralettes have easily become one of the biggest chic trends around and personally I think they’re SO underrated! When you think of a bralette, you probably think of it as a bra, but it’s definitely more of a layering piece and can look super cute in so many different ways. I recently picked up some adorable little lace ones from Kohl’s, and the best part was they were on sale and super affordable. Kohls has tons of styles including brands like Candies, Maidenform, SO and Lily of France. I picked up this purple one, this black high neck lace one and this cream colored one all for under $40!
Now how do we go about styling these pretty little things? Here are 3 of my favorite ways:
Option 1: The high-neck bralette can easily be a great replacement for a necklace. I like to pair my high-neck black bralette with a white v-neck tee and a pair of cut off denim shorts for an easy and casual but put together look. Shop high-neck bralettes here.
Option 2: A sheer shirt can sometimes be confusing and many times people ask me what they should pair underneath it. A bralette is the perfect thing to layer underneath and it’s no longer challenging or sad to give up the sheer shirt you really want to buy. Shop perfect bralettes for under a sheer shirt here.
Option 3: Wearing a bralette as a top! Yes, I know this may sound odd and a little revealing, but if done well, it can look super chic! Not all bralettes should be worn as crop tops, but one like this or this would look adorable with a high waisted skirt or pair of shorts. Another thing I really love about these bralettes is how lightweight and comfortable they are. There is little to no padding, and no underwire so they feel soft and snug against the skin. I also think they get a bad stigma for people who are larger-chested, but I always recommend just throwing on a strapless bra underneath for extra support if needed! You’d be surprised on how well these hold up.
