Date Night with NEWCITY Lincoln Park…

Happy Monday! I wanted to introduce you all to one of my favorite places to have a date night (or girls night, or family night out!) in Chicago.  Now that it’s freezing outside (and snowing!!) it can be super tempting to stay inside and not want to leave your house… but NEWCITY in Lincoln Park is the perfect escape for those days when you don’t want to cook and you want to have some fun!

NEWCITY is Chicago’s newest lifestyle and entertainment district consisting of amazing restaurants, shops, and nightlife.  I’ve come here for dinner, movies, shopping (think Off 5th, Z Gallerie and Evereve), and bowling all on separate occasions- and all have been just as amazing.  NEWCITY offers a hip and relaxed atmosphere with a fast-paced environment.  For those that are lucky enough to live in the almost 200 unit apartment building, all of the luxury lives just below! A couple weeks ago my boyfriend and I did a date night at NEWCITY that consisted of Dinner at Yard House (if you go, order the egg-rolls!) and a movie at the Arclight Cinema. Yard House is an upscale bar setting with a never-ending tap beer list.  I’ve dined here a couple times now and always had a wonderful experience.  Arclight Cinema is also an upscale movie theater offering a full bar and a decent sized food menu.  I especially love the fact that you can buy your tickets ahead of time and choose your seats, so you’re not left worrying if you show up last minute.

Another thing I really love about NEWCITY is the bowling alley- Kings Bowl.  I came here for a work event once and was super impressed with how nice it was!  It’s a 16 lane, 24,000 square feet bowling alley that boasts an 80-foot bar serving everything from the best micro brews to premium spirits and a delicious food menu.  You can order the food and eat right at the tables at your lane.  If you love to bowl, I highly recommend coming here!

When we went for our date night, NEWCITY already had their Christmas decorations up and had the prettiest tree in the middle of it all.  They also offer a variety of events- such as concerts in the summer and bowling with Santa, just in time for Christmas.  Check out the list of events here.  If you’re in the Christmas spirit and want to celebrate with your significant other or just a group of girlfriends, head to NEWCITY and you’ll have a whole night of fun ahead of you! xoxo

Thank you Skirt PR and NEWCITY for hosting a complimentary date night.  As always, all opinions are my own.

  14. Love Yard House! Such a fun place, right?!! I've never been to the one in Chicago (because I've never been to Chicago), but I'm pretty sure it's the same as the one here in south Florida.
