Splurge vs. Save

I decided to do a post on some items I’ve been majorly crushing on lately, but definitely could not afford, so I found very similar items (and everything is under $150!)  My absolute favorite Valentino’s that you see on pretty much every blogger these days, can cost anywhere around from $900- $1700.  As I would love to own a real pair myself, that’s just currently not in the budget right now. ha ha!  I found these amazing look-a likes from Charlotte Russe, and for only $20 (they’re on additional sale right now!) they are the perfect look a likes to the designer brand.  Every time I wear them, I get so many compliments and people asking me if they are Valentino… seriously this is how much they look like the real thing!  I also have fell in love with this Chloe bag.  The style of it is just so elegant, but again way to expensive for me personally to spend on one bag.  That’s where Amazon comes into play… they have this amazing bag, can you really see that big of a difference? The Dior sunglasses dupe can also be found on Amazon for only $20, and since they are a trendier pair of sunglasses, that’s all I really want to spend since the style will probably be out already by next year.  One piece that I do own on the splurge side is this J.Crew bracelet.  I love this bracelet because it goes with everything and just looks so dang pretty!  It was on the pricier side, but not to bad ($125). I found this awesome look alike from Stella and Dot for only $49.  It’s a little skinnier than the J.Crew one, but for 1/3 the price, it’s definitely worth it.  I have a few pieces from Stella and Dot and everything I have is great quality.  Lastly, is this amazing Chanel bag.  What girl doesn’t dream of owning a Chanel bag? sigh… some day… this Jessica Buurman bag will have to fill in for now.  For $89 you can have a bag that pretty much looks exactly like Chanel, but for thousands of dollars cheaper!  This is where I decide I need to have it in every color… ha ha.

I hope you enjoyed this post… I will probably continue to do more as I continue to find great deals!! 🙂 xoxo

  1. Love this post! I think that bags are worth splurging on if you can do that. But the less expensive versions that you shared are just as cute. I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!! 🙂

  7. Love the shoes. I have a pair of red flats like those I purchased at Nordstrom's last year. I love the heals and my have to splurge on them. Nice round up!

  8. These are super cute finds! I love my Valentino pumps so those are definitely something worth splurging on, but the less expensive version is just as cute!

Such a great roundup of dupes! I am obsessed with all Chloe handbags but they are sadly too far out of my budget. This dupe looks identical! Definitely going to have to check it out!

  10. What great finds – seriously they couldn't be more perfect! I have the J.Crew bracelet, and I love it. Too bad I didn't know about the Stella and Dot one 🙁 Those Valentino shoes are EVERYWHERE!!! Not that I don't splurge on occasion, but spending that much for a pair of pumps just isn't in my cards!

Those shoes! I love the save ones but the heel is too tall for me (boo!) I'm already 5'7/5'8 so I try to avoid shoes with too much of a heel. I love all your save suggestions. Thanks!

It's so nice to see another Chicago/Midwest blogger. This post was amazing. I'm always trying to find ways to get the same look for less. There were spot on substitutions. So amazing, and you look great!

I actually prefer the inexpensive bag and bracelet. I would've chosen them not knowing the brand or price tag.
